I adored my Grandma Irene (aka “The Iron Duchess”) – she was full of life and opinionated and funny and she loved her family fiercely. She passed away a year and a half ago and I still miss her terribly. I was afraid to attempt her infamous fudge recipe because I didn’t want to fail at it and so it remained on my fridge, often stared at but never attempted…until today! I actually think it came out pretty well!
